Complex Challenges Innovative Cities focus on European public sector innovation

Complex Challenges Innovative Cities (CCIC) focuses on European public sector innovation and is about new ideas that contribute to creating public value. The main objective of the CICC project, which concludes at the end of December 2014, is to improve regional innovation policies by enhancing innovation in the public sector and increasing partnership collaboration between local and regional authorities, public entities and other stakeholders. CCIC aims to increase the levels of innovation in 13 diverse partner regions by exchanging good practices each will address a set of interlinked challenges faced by all public authorities and related to innovation in the public sector. Hosted by Birmingham City Council, delegates come from a variety of different European countries including Eindhoven, Sabadell, Genoa, Gavle, Jyvaskyla, Tartu, Warsaw, Harghita, Sofia and Aberdeen. It was great to hear feedback on how the Digital Log Book could also be used to manage employment across Europe.
