DCMS digital identity policy update – publication of the beta trust framework

Really positive to see the Government’s updated iteration of the beta version of the digital identity trust framework.  This follows the 2020 Call for Evidence where the Government had carried out extensive industry engagement. This framework is a set of rules that brings together current legislation, standards and good practice guides. You can view a copy of the beta version HERE.

As the Government announced “After publishing the trust framework as an alpha – a first version of what we believed were the right rules and standards – we tested it with stakeholders from over 250 organisations across civil society, industry, standards bodies, and academia. We took this collaborative approach to make sure the trust framework, when it is ultimately finalised, will meet the needs of those who will rely on it.”
