Underground Supply Pipe Leakage project in residential homes goes live

Scottish Water, in conjunction with Etive Technologies, have installed c.80 monitors at a number of properties to measure underground supply pipe leakage. The properties have a monitor installed within their kitchen and also a monitor on the pavement outside.
These monitors will allow Scottish Water to improve understanding of how much water is being lost through leakage on the ‘Private’ underground supply pipe vs the ‘Company’ water mains.
The current properties provide a limited sample of potential cases across Scotland but this project is being looked at as a trial with the potential to rollout across a more varied selection of properties.
