Who we are

We have been involved in developing identity trust schemes since 2013.  In 2013 we worked with the Government Digital Service (GDS) and local authorities on an assured digital identity scheme for ‘thin file’ people (people who lack a credit file) through the GOV.UK/verify scheme.  We led 3 publicly funded identity projects, through the OIX, Discovery (2016), Alpha (2017) and Beta (2018) developing a customer identity verification scheme based on GDS standards.

The objective was to support people helping them to access government benefits, Universal Credits, and other public services such as housing. We worked with Birmingham City Council, the DWP, the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets and Hackney plus a wide range of housing associations.  The Government closed down GOV.UK/verify in 2022.

As part of this, we developed the first unique secure digital personal data store, or digital wallet as we now call them, known as Digital Log Book® (DLB). The Digital Log Book® enabled a person to manage, control and share their personal information, including their identity credentials with their DWP officers, their local authority and housing association as part of their Universal Credit claims.

2018 we started developing digital identity for the property sector to develop identity verification to support residential property transactions, a trust scheme called MyIdentity. MyIdentity is aligned with the DSIT’s (Dept Science, Innovation & Technology) Digital Identity & Attributes Trust Framework and is the recognised industry standard for carrying our customer identity verification and anti-money laundering checks of home buyers and sellers, supporting all transactions from new home builders, estate agents through conveyancing, financial brokering and mortgage lending.

In 2020 we received InnovateUK funding enabling us to work with over 115 organisations and Government departments enabling us to design, develop and implement the standards for customer IDV & AML in the residential property sector. Over the years MyIdentity standards have evolved as we have worked with each stakeholder group to include the additional requirements they need.

MyIdentity is a scheme provided by Orchy.

Orchy Solutions Ltd (Orchy) was set up to manage the scheme. Ensuring IDSP compliance with the scheme standards, ongoing scheme monitoring, handling customer complaints, contract obligations, privacy rules and, very importantly, inclusivity.

MyIdentity creates a marketplace for a range of trusted and certified identity providers.
